Fish Friends
This wonderful project is running for a third consecutive year. The program involved teaching classrooms (grades 4,5 or 6) the Atlantic salmon life through interactive learning.
Six local schools will participate this year in which they will have an aquarium with Atlantic salmon eggs in their classroom. Once hatched, these salmon will be released in spring, with the help of the students, proving to be an educational and memorable experience for all involved. We would like to send a special thanks to the Friends of the Kouchibouquacis for providing the salmon eggs and the Bouctouche CO-OP and the NB salmon council for the new incubators.

We will be preparing a plan to restore and protect Atlantic salmon habitat and population in the coming months. We would like you to give us your feedback. Visit our website and local newspapers for the next meetings.
